Manchester United are set to sign Atletc Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera for around £28 million.
Spanish Newspaper Marca claim that Van Gaal has acted swiftly to tie up the deal, before the players release clause rises to £33 million on July 1st.
Herrera has agreed a lucrative four year deal at Manchester United, with the Red devils finally signing the 24 year old, and a year or so of tracking him.
The player impressed for the Basque side Atletic, and his form earned a call up to the Spanish senior side.
