Southampton have reportedly accepted £20million offer
Manchester United have had a formal bid for Morgan Schneiderlin accepted by Southampton, according to reports.
The French midfielder admitted in an interview the other day that his future would be decided in the next few days, and according to reports, he will be joining United.
Schneiderlin has been strongly linked with a move away from St Marys, but has been linked with Arsenal throughout most of the campaign.
However, he is now in line to join up with Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford about a £20m bid was accepted.
The initial bid from United will be £20m, but that fee could rise to £25m with add-ons and bonuses, depending on how well the 24-year-old does at the club.
It’s believed The Red Devils will offer him around £120k-a-week, which is double what he currently earns with Southampton.
It’s a big breakthrough for Van Gaal as he eyes a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick, and it seems like they’ve fended off interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
An announcement is expected either over the weekend, or possibly next week.
