Manchester United trigger player’s contract extension!

Mourinho impressed with this man this season!

Manchester United have triggered the option to extend Marouane Fellaini’s contract by one year.

Fellaini signed a 4 year deal at Old Trafford when signing for United in 2013.

And Mourinho has activated the option to extend that despite concerns for Fellaini’s future at the club.

He was booed by his own fans last month but scored a crucial goal on Tuesday in United’s 2-0 win over Hull in an EFL Cup semi final first leg.

Speaking after Tuesday’s victory, Mourinho said: “He has a very strong mentality and has coped well.

“He knows he is a very important player for me.”
