Manchester United are edging closer and closer to signing Valencia left-back Gaya.

The Spanish full back has been a long time target for the Red Devils.

According to latest transfer reports news in England, Manchester United management are getting closer and closer to sign Spanish left-back José Luis Gayà (22) from Valencia.

The Spaniard by several top clubs including United’s rival Manchester City and Chelsea. Several Spanish reports claim a swop deal from Man City would be considered at The Mestalla as Valencia have struggled to raise the ÂŁ16 million needed to make Mangala’s move permanent.

The player is also tracked by Juventus as well, and is set to leave on an about 35 million euros fee. It might be a good deal for the Turin club incase they sell Alex Sandro, who is heavily linked with a move to either Man United or Chelsea.

Gaya, 21, is valued at ÂŁ35m and is one of the hottest properties in Spain. The Spanish Under-21 international has also been scouted on a regular basis by Arsenal.

Gaya could be the ideal replacement for the out of favour England international Luke Shaw.
