Reports claim that Manchester United will sell French winger Anthony Martial only if they sign Ivan Perisic to bridge the gap. Martial’s performances with the Red Devils hasn’t been very good in the past few months and this resulted in the 22-year old missing out on France’s victorious World Cup squad.
Martial has admitted that he wants to leave Old Trafford and he has also been given the permission to leave. However, Jose Mourinho will only sanction his exit provided United sign Perisic.
Several teams have shown an interest to sign Anthony Martial. The likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, PSG and Bayern Munich have shown interest in the winger. Martial himself has preferred a move to PSG.
The 22-year old left United’s pre-season training camp for the birth of his child.
Ivan Perisic is someone who United have been tailing for quite some time. Mourinho once unsuccessfully attempted to sign him for £40 million. However, the Croatian’s stellar performances at the World Cup has resulted in his price going up to £70 million.
