Due to an injury on club teammate Michael Carrick, the oldest player in the national side. Jesse Lingard has been called up to make what could be his international debut on Tuesday.
Lingard has impressed recently after being introduced to the Manchester United 1st team and has managed to nail down a role in the team. The Winger has played 11 games for England’s under 21s.
Carrick is expected to be out for yet another extended spell, as he picked up an ankle injury.
