West Ham United star suffers quadriceps injury

West Ham United Football Club have confirmed that Manuel Lanzini will be sidelined for up to six weeks after suffering a quadricep injury.

The Argentinian suffered the injury in training last week, resulting in him missing the trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, and after more scans and results, they’ve now confirmed the extent of the injury.

Lanzini, who is on a season-long loan from UAE-based club Al-Jazira, will now begin rehabilitation and is likely to miss around six weeks, meaning he’ll play no part in the busy Christmas period.

The 22-year-old has four goals for the Hammers so far this term and his impressive performances have already caught the eye of Liverpool, who are keen to land him on a permanent deal ahead of West Ham.
