Manchester United’s teenage striker, Marcus Rashford, is still awaiting a new contract at Old Trafford, where he currently earns £1,500-a week on his current deal.

The 18-year-old has excelled in United’s first-team since breaking into the set-up – netting six goals in 11 appearances, including a memorable effort away at West Ham United  on Wednesday evening, to help the Red Devils through to the FA Cup semi-final.

Such form from the teenage prodigy has sparked rumours of a call-up to Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the European Championships in France this summer, but it is at club level where his immediate concerns lie, as Manchester United hierarchy are yet to offer him a new long-term, improved deal, to commit his future to Louis Van Gaal’s side.

Rashford, who has been one of the bright sparks in a mixed campaign for the club is tied down until the summer of 2017. His current contract with United expires at the end of next season.
