Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli will rejoin Milan on season-long loan after completing medical

Bad boy Mario Balotelli says he is ‘motivated to succeed at the San Siro’ as he prepares for his second stint with AC Milan.

The Italian striker is set for an Anfield exit and rejoin the club who sold him on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old joined Liverpool last summer for ÂŁ16million but had a torrid first season, making 16 league appearances and only scored once.

Motivated and fit

Despite his lack of game-time, Balotelli claims he is fully fit and full of motivation.

He said: “I’m happy to be back, now I’m only waiting to start training. I always had Milan in my heart and I always hoped to come back.

“Physically I feel pretty good, I just have to train with the team. I have so much motivation.

“I have to work hard and do well this year, then I’ll think about whether I want to stay.”

The Italian striker should complete his move today and could feature in Milan’s game against Empoli at the weekend.

As part of the agreement, Liverpool will still be paying pay half of the striker’s £80,000-a-week wages during the loan spell.

This is the second deal to go through today regarding Premier League flops, as Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado finalised his move to Juventus.
