German could be leaving Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze has alerted both Arsenal and Manchester United by claiming he doesn’t know where his future lies.

The German international, who scored the winning goal in last summer’s World Cup final, has been speaking during pre-season and has admitted that the last two seasons at the Allianz Arena have been difficult for him.

Gotze followed Robert Lewandowski‘s footsteps by leaving Borussia Dortmund for Munich, but the former has struggled to cement a first team spot under Pep Guardiola.

With the lack of first-team football in Germany, the 23-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga, with Premier League duo Arsenal and United interested, and his latest comments will spark further speculation.

Gotze Unsure

“The last two years were definitely not very simple, we’ll see what happens,” Gotze told German broadcaster Sport1.

“It will work out if Guardiola talks to me more often. I’m going to let everything come to me. Anything beyond that, we’ll see.”
