Transfer insider believes he will leave this summer

Mario Gotze has been backed to leave Bayern Munich this summer after spending the majority of the campaign on the substitute bench.

Gotze is out-of-favour under Pep Guardiola, and despite the Spaniard leaving the Allianz Arena at the end of the season, Gotze could also be tempted to leave the club in order to reunite with Jurgen Klopp.

The duo worked together at Borussia Dortmund and over the weekend the midfielder revealed he still regularly texts and chats to his former-manager.

Klopp, who is now at Premier League side Liverpool, is keen to land the German international and has highlighted him as a potential target for the summer transfer window.

Gotze to England?

Discussing Gotze’s future, transfer insider and Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft, believes the midfielder will be saying goodbye to Germany in the summer and hello to England.

He tweeted: “Guardiola changed his team on 4 positions today. Mario Götze still on the bench 90 mins for Bayern. Hello England! Be prepared.”

Before following it up with another tweet which read: “Klopp is Götze’s “father”

“- Hey son! I will make you great and happy again. Join me at Anfield.”
