Liverpool flop seems set to leave the cup

It’s thought that Mario Balotelli’s Liverpool career could be completely over after he told Jurgen Klopp that he doesn’t want to play for the club again.

Balotelli failed dramatically to impress at Anfield in the 2014/15 season, after arriving for ÂŁ16million in August 2014 under Brendan Rodgers,

The Italian striker told Mediaset Premium: “I want to stay at Milan.

“I do not want to return to Liverpool. I was never happy at Liverpool.

“Plus Milan have the money.”

However, Balotelli has scored just one league goal this season for the Italian giants and newly appointed Milan boss Cristian Brocchi has already issued him an ultimatum.

He said: “In the past he knew full well he’d be given other chances, but now he realises there are no more chances.

“The hope is that he can use these last matches to show his quality.

“It’s important for me that he shows he truly cares about the Milan jersey.

“As a coach I always focused on mentality, because even the most talented players have to be strong mentally.”

Balotelli’s loan deal is expiring at the end of the season but his contract at Liverpool is still valid until 2018, however it doesn’t look like he’ll be putting on a Liverpool shirt again and Klopp will be offloading him come the next transfer window.
