BBC Pundit thinks Liverpool will beat Arsenal at Anfield

With another weekend of Premier League football just around the corner, it’s time to give you BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson’s predictions for the 10-games that are taking place over Saturday and Sunday.

Here are his predictions!

Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal

“Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers got it wrong that day but, this time, I get the feeling this is a game his side will win.”

Aston Villa 2-0 West Ham United

“Villa’s home record is poor but they beat West Brom last time out at Villa Park and now that Christian Benteke has started scoring goals again, there is a different vibe about Paul Lambert’s side.”

Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle United

“Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho got everything absolutely spot on again against Manchester City on Monday – they looked a better team than City and fully deserved their win – and I would back them to get another three points on Saturday.”

Crystal Palace 2-0 West Bromwich Albion

“Pulis had already turned results, and the team’s work ethic, around before he brought in any new faces and the good thing is he has made them so difficult to beat.”

Norwich City 0-2 Manchester City

“Manuel Pellegrini will want his players to show that defeat was only a blip for City. Norwich will try to make things difficult for them but I cannot see them getting anything out of the game.”

Southampton 2-0 Stoke City

“Whatever happens now, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are almost guaranteed a top 10 finish, which would represent real progress for the club.”

Sunderland 1-1 Hull City

“I don’t think Steve Bruce’s side are as bad as their recent form suggest and, once Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic click, they will start scoring goals and they will be fine.”

Swansea City 2-0 Cardiff City

“It will be interesting to see how the Bluebirds set up but I am backing the Swans to take the three points.”

Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Everton

“This is a big game in the race for fourth place and it is imperative for Spurs that they try to turn Everton over. I am pretty sure they will have a go at them.”

Manchester United 3-0 Fulham

“Manchester United have had some difficult times of late but Fulham are having an absolute nightmare of a season.”
