Belgium wants to hold talks with Louis van Gaal

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini wants a new contract at Old Trafford.

The Belgium international will have two years left on his current deal at the end of the current campaign, but according to reports, he wants to be reassured of his long-term future.

United splashed out ÂŁ27million on the midfielder when David Moyes was in charge, signing him from his former-club Everton, and despite not being a regular under Van Gaal, he’s reportedly happy at the club.

Long-Term Future

However, Fellaini does want to know where his long-term future lies and that’s why he wants to discuss a new contract.

Despite the player’s wishes, Van Gaal is reportedly not prepared to open talks with the Belgium just yet, especially with two years still left on his current deal.

Fellaini is often seen as a Plan B for United, and Van Gaal uses him as an impact sub when they aren’t winning matches so that they can go route one towards the tall midfielder.
