AC Milan defender Alex has urged Marquinhos to leave Paris Saint-Germain in order to find first team football.
The Brazilian centre-back moved to the French capital in 2013 but has struggled to tie down a starting spot with the likes of Thiago Silva and David Luiz ahead of him in the pecking order.
Chelsea reportedly made an offer of £35m for the Marquinhos during the summer transfer window. Manchester United are also thought to have registered an interest in the 21-year-old.
And former Blue Alex says that his compatriot should leave Laurent Blanc’s side in order to progress.
‘Marquinhos would fit in at any big European club,’ Alex told L’Equipe.
‘His problem is that two of the best players in the world in his position are ahead of him.
‘If I was in his place I would leave PSG – especially when all the big clubs want him.
‘During every transfer window, he gets magnificent offers. He’s young and should be playing to show his worth.’
