Manchester United and Chelsea on red-alert
Paris Saint-Germain star Marquinhos is unhappy with life in France due to the lack of first-team football, and is considering his long-term future, according to reports.
The Brazilian centre-back is behind national team-mates Thiago Silva and David Luiz in the pecking order under Laurent Blanc, leaving him with limited game-time.
The defender was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer, and reports emerged on Transfer Deadline Day that Chelsea made TWO formal bids for the 21-year-old.
However, both bids were snubbed by the Ligue 1 champions as they see him as their long-term centre-back.
Premier League Interest
According to reports, Chelsea made a bid of around ÂŁ30million for the centre-back on Deadline Day, but they had that turned down.
Despite being told he’s the future of PSG, Marquinhos is growing frustrated with the lack of first-team football and he’s now ready to complete a transfer to England.
United and Chelsea are still both keen on the centre-back and could make fresh bids in the New Year.
