Arsenal have made an impressive start to the new campaign, topping the Premier Legaue and topping their Champions League group, while beating last year’s runners up Borrusia Dortmund, and Marseille coach Elie Baup believes Arsenal can challenge for the Champions League crown.
In the Premier League, Arsenal have enjoyed success, winning 9 out of 12 of their games. And they are having equal success in Europe, winning 3 of their 4 games, including an away win at German giants, Dortmund. The Gunners appear to be heading for the last 16, and Baup, who will see his side travel to the Emirates on Tuesday night, sees no reason as to why Arsenal cannot go the whole way and win the competition, if their form continues.
In an interview he said: “Arsenal are an extremely strong side in these competitions.”
“They are the best side in our group and are going to qualify.”
“When you get to the last 16 and the quarter-finals, the teams are all very close together.”
“However, this season Arsenal have an undeniable attacking quality.”
And with their superb current form and momentum, it is likely that Arsenal will go far in the competition, with key players Mesut Ozil, Olivier giroud and Aaron Ramsey in top form.
