Anthony Martial’s agent is in doubt over whether the player will pen down a new long-term contract at Manchester United.
Philippe Lanboley has also criticized the way Martial’s contract is being negotiated by Manchester United.
Manchester United ace Anthony Martial’s agent Philippe Lanboley has said that he is not sure whether the player will commit his long-term future at the club or not. The player has been in contention to pen down a new contract at the club but now his agent’s comments have added a new twist in the situation.
Lanboley said, “I am very pessimistic about discussions going positively.” He added, “They‘ve already made several offers that come nowhere near to what we expect.”
The Frenchman has been a bright spark for the Red Devils this season and has been scoring goals and winning matches for them. It is not long ago that Jose Mourinho wanted him out of the side but it was Chief Executive Ed Woodward and it seems to have worked the right way with the forward being able to make a place for himself in the squad with his performance this term.
However, with a number of clubs keeping their tabs on Martial and with the negotiations allegedly not going the right way for him, there is a possibility of the player leaving the club and his agent’s comments have once again resonated about that.
