Anthony Martial has been left astonished by the lack of progress over a new Manchester United deal, according to reports.
The France men’s contract expires in the summer of 2019. Although the club retains the option of extending by a further year, talks over an extension are said to have hit a standstill.
RMC claims the 22-year-old’s agent met with United back in December but a proposal has not been forthcoming. The player believes the lack of communication represents a lack of recognition for his progress this season.
The former Monaco forward has started just twice since Sanchez’s arrival from Arsenal last month. The stalemate over contract negotiations has also interrupted his purchase of a new house.
North London rivals Tottenham are said to be monitoring his situation closest. It is believed that they could make a move for the 22-year-old in the summer if things don’t improve.
