Martin Jol isn’t afraid that he will be sacked. Fulham have lost 6 games this season. Chant’s were being sung saying ‘Jol Out’ after only 22 minutes into the game. The Fulham manager said: “I have no fear. In the past they used to say ‘have no fear, Martin is here'”.

“Sometimes I worry if the supporters are at my back, but it is better they are on my back than the players’ back.”

Fulham have played five home games only winning one however after this most recent loss they only dropped one place to 15th. 6 of their 10 points have come from away games. After Manchester United scored their 3 goals boos were being shouted out to the dutch manager.

Martin Jol said: “If you are in the bottom half of the table you have to win games.”

“It is not as bad as people think, but the only thing is you want to turn it around like Newcastle United did. I can’t say that I’m used to boos because I’ve been at a few clubs where they were probably chanting my name.”

“They are entitled to boo. I will take the blame. I’m responsible and I’m a proud man so I want us to do better and the players know that and that is why they came back in the second half. I can’t keep coming up with excuses but I still feel if you look at the teams that are around in the bottom half, it’s not easy – we are not Real Madrid.”

David Moyes has picked up his game for Manchester United after a bad start to the season and hopefully the london club will do the same.
