Keown says the Blue are playing with 12 players mainly because N’Golo Kante counts as two!
The Arsenal legend says Kante covers so much of the ground in the midfield that it’s like they have an extra man on the pitch.
Keown told BT Sport: “Having N’Golo Kante in midfield is like having two players in there.
“I’ve played in a three for Arsenal and England and I’ve never been comfortable on it.
“I didn’t have two players who could cover that kind of distance that Kante can.”
Kante’s set to lift the Premier League title for the second consecutive season following last year’s shock win with Leicester.
Keown mentioned boss Antonio Conte for special praise as well after the 2-1 win over Stoke yesterday.
He added: “This guy is a serial winner.
“Last summer the Italians were the worst group for 50 years and he turned them into a really good team.
“He knew this back three inside out, he played it with Juventus and won three championships in Italy, he was setting all sorts of records.
