Jurgen Klopp dealt massive blow as injury woes deepen

Liverpool have been dealt a potential huge blow with the news that Martin Skrtel could miss up to three months with a hamstring injury.

The Slovakian centre-back was subbed off during the Reds‘ 3-0 loss to Watford on Sunday, and the club’s initial thoughts could be that he will miss the next three months.

Usual hamstring injuries aren’t that bad, but the club’s doctors believe this is a big hamstring issue which could keep the defender out of action until March.

Defensive Woes

If this is the case, Jurgen Klopp will have to dip into the transfer market next month with just two fit centre-backs at his disposal.

Kolo Toure and Mamadou Sakho are now the only fit centre-backs at Anfield, with Dejan Lovren and Joe Gomez both sidelined with injuries and youngster Thiago Ilori out on loan at Aston Villa.

Klopp initially didn’t want to enter the January transfer market, but he may have to now as the injury woes deepen.
