Arsenal right-back still wants out in January

Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy has reiterated his desires to leave the club in January, even if it is on a short-term loan.

The Frenchman has barely kicked a ball all season for the Gunners, with Hector Bellerin cementing his spot at the club’s number-one choice for right-back, leaving Debuchy struggling for game-time.

With the right-back not playing regular first-team football, his spot in the France’s national team is under threat, and Didier Deschamps has already admitted he can’t pick him if he’s not playing.

Debuchy is desperate to play regularly so that he can make France’s Euro 2016 squad for next summer’s competition, which is being held in France, and he’s once again admitted that he’ll move on if he has to.

Debuchy Still Wants Out

“At the moment, I need game time,” he told French radio station RMC. “The past two games, I haven’t been included in the squad.

“Everything is clear. I need game time and that’s why I’ll have to discuss it with the coach soon. We’ll see what offers there are between now and [January] – if there are any.”

Asked whether he would consider a move to one of Arsenal’s domestic rivals, Debuchy said: “I love England and the league so yes, of course.

“After that, if I have other offers… return to France? Why not? We’ll see.”
