Mauricio Pochettino has warned his players to improve if they want to keep the title challenge alive. Tottenham Hotspur got the better of Manchester United as the visitors blanked the home side 3-0 in an evenly contested match at the Old Trafford.

Spurs have been one of the most consistent sides in the Premier League over the last few seasons but they have failed to convert their winnings into something concrete.

The North Londoners have made a strong statement this season by claiming all three points in the first three matches but they need to continue their progress throughout the season to provide a stern challenge to the other title contenders.

Spurs managed to grind out a win against the Red Devils but they were pretty shoddy in the first half as United dominated the proceedings. Pochettino is aware of their shortcomings and has refuted all title talks. “It’s easy to talk about perception.

“But when you watch again the game I think the line was very thin, to be in the left or right, in the positive or negative. Still in the last three games we’ve conceded a lot of chances. Our keeper (Lloris) made an unbelievable save to keep the team alive.

“If we want to fight and be a contender, we need to talk on the pitch and not outside. We need to show we are capable after 10 months, not only after three games.

“We are going to play a very good  team

“If we are not ready, with everything being fantastic after beating Manchester United, then we will crash.”
