Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri included the name of Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic in his list of transfer targets given to Roman Abramovich following his appointment.
The 28-year old Bosnian has been reportedly named as one of the midfielders to leave Juventus following the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo for £88 million.
As of now, the Juventus midfielder hasn’t asked to leave the club. However, reports from Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim Manchester City are also interested to sign him along with Chelsea.
Some reports even claim that Guardiola has spoken to the Bosnian over the phone. The Gazzetta dello Sport also claim that Pjanic was seen meeting Fali Ramadani. Ramadani is a well known deal fixer and has been helping Chelsea in talks with Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani. He also had a role in Sarri’s appointment as Chelsea’s coach.
There are also rumors that Barcelona are interested in signing Pjanic. Pjanic could cost around £72 million this summer. One of the best midfielders in Europe currently, Pjanic helped Juventus win the Serie A and Coppa Italia last season. In 44 matches, Pjanic scored 7 goals and provided 14 assists.
