Maurizio Sarri Reveals How He Feels About London

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confessed his love for London, the city in which he has been living since taking the charge of the West London club.

Chelsea are yet to lose a match in the Sarri reign and are looking menacing with each game passing. The Blues players have adapted well to the new system which the manager has been using over the past few years.

There has been concern whether he would be able to handle things properly in the Premier League but with Chelsea undefeated in the English top flight so far the anxiety has now gone.

Sarri goes back to the memory lane and recalls how he enjoyed English football when he was studying in London some 30 years back. “Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham… even Queens Park Rangers. I watched them all!”

“Of course I went to watch football.

“It was very different back then. English football was at the time typically English. Now it is more European.

“But that was a long time ago, many years ago, when I came here to study the language. Yes, things have changed but London has the same charm.”

He also admitted he hasn’t had the time to explore the city. “I love England, it’s my home now,

“But I’ve been to the city, the centre of London, very little as I don’t really relax.

“I get a little bit of relaxation during the international break, perhaps! But I do love living here, though.”
