The Brazilian superstar is out for at least 10 months with a leg injury.
Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has said that it feels terrible to not have Neymar in the side while facing the opposition. The reigning Ligue 1 champions succumbed to a 2-1 defeat, their first of the season, at the hands of Lyon in their last match as they had to take the field without their Brazilian superstar, who is out with a leg injury for at least 10 months.
Speaking to the media after their loss, the French international had his say on the absence of his colleague. He said, “Well it surely isn’t easy since Neymar is one of the best players in the World. Every defender fears playing against him so it is a big loss for us at the moment. Ask Valverde if it’s easy to play a game with Lionel Messi or ask Max Allegri if it’s easy playing without Cristiano Ronaldo.”
He added, “These are players that change games every time they step on the pitch. We certainly miss Neymar but we have to accept the situation and look forward.”
Speaking about the defeat to Lyon, the PSG ace said, “We aren’t pleased but we will have to keep on working hard.”
