Liverpool deal will bring Memphis Depay to Anfield
Liverpool are close to completing a deal to bring Memphis Depay to Anfield. Man United are also tracking the Netherlands international but it is the Reds who are currently in pole position to sign him.
The winger has been given the green light to leave current club PSV this summer, with both English clubs keen on sealing a deal for him.
Earlier reports claimed it was the Red Devils who were closest to signing him but Liverpool have now made a bid in excess of £18m for the 21-year old.
Louis Van Gaal is also likely to make an offer to try and bring Depay to Old Trafford and if he does, The Reds are willing to increase their bid to £23.7m.
Expect both teams to battle it out for his signature this summer but at this moment in time it is Liverpool who currently have the upper hand.
