Lionel Messi has said that he would love Neymar to return to Barcelona.
The Brazilian left the Catalan giants to join Paris Saint Germain in 2017 on a world record transfer fee.
Lionel Messi has said that he would love to see Neymar make a move back to Barcelona. The PSG talisman has been at his prime for the French giants since his move to Parc Des Princes and has been the main man for the side on the pitch and off it as well. However, the Argentine and Barcelona skipper has reportedly expressed the desire to have his old partner in the attack back at the Nou Camp but has also admitted that it would be complicated.
The five-times Ballon d’Or winner said, “It will be complicated,” he added, “We would love him to come back for what he means, both as a player and for the dressing room. We are friends, we spend a lot of time together. However, I find it very difficult to see him leave Paris. PSG won’t let him be taken away from them.”
Barcelona, even without the Brazilian, went strong in the last season and won the La Liga title by dethroning their arch-rivals Real Madrid. This season as well, they are in fine form and are on the top of the La Liga table with Messi and Luis Suarez doing the bulk of their scoring alongside Philippe Coutinho, who has established himself as the perfect replacement for his compatriot Neymar since moving from Liverpool.
