Arsenal star has no plans on returning to Germany
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has confirmed he won’t be returning to Germany despite the interest shown by Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga champions are desperate to land Ozil, and even tried to sign him over the summer. Since then, the German international has shown the form of his Arsenal career so far, assisting 13 goals already this season.
However, with his consistent performances comes more interest, and according to reports, Munich are still keen on landing him at the end of the season.
Ozil played in the Bundesliga earlier in his career with Schalke and then Werder Bremen, and he has confirmed that he has no plans on returning just yet.
No Bundesliga Return
“I can never say I will return,” the German World Cup winner said. “I have beautiful memories of home, but I’m with Arsenal until at least 2018.
“[Arsenal boss Arsene] Wenger has always backed me strongly. He’s always there for me.”
