Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil could face questioning from Arsene Wenger over reports that he was spotted in a German nightclub despite missing the game against Newcastle through illness.
The incident was on Saturday evening following Arsenal’s 2-1 away win at Newcastle earlier that day. Ozil was omitted from the match day squad after falling ill earlier in the week.
And German newspaper BILD say that the 26 year-old was seen in Berlin at the Pearl nightclub.
Ozil is in the Germany squad to face Austria on Wednesday and is expected to be fit for the match, but will be likely to face an angry Arsene Wenger upon returning to North London.
