Paris Saint-Germain to part ways with Emery

Paris Saint-Germain coach, Unai Emery is set to leave the French side this summer according to reports. After failing to take PSG beyond the round of 16 in UEFA Cahmpions League for the second year running many expected that the club will part ways with the Spanish coach in the summer. Emery’s contract is also set to expire this summer.

And it looks like Emery’s departure has been unofficially confirmed by PSG’s right-back Thomas Meunier. According to L’Équipe, the Belgian confirmed his club manager’s imminent departure in the summer while on duty with his his national team.

When asked about his future, Meunier replied-

“I’m waiting because a lot of things, including the coach, will change. I am no longer eighteen, I am twenty-six, I am in full possession of my means. I need to assert myself in a club. I need to show what I can do. The club knows my position. “

PSG were eliminated by Real Madrid in the Champions League earlier this month.
