Michael Keane Set To Miss Four Weeks With Fractured Skull

Everton defender Michael Keane has fractured his skull and could miss three to four weeks, the club said in a statement. Keane had a nasty clash with his teammate Idrissa Gueye in injury time during Everton’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League.

The 25 year old who contributed to the game as much as he could as he scored the second goal in the Vitality Stadium to give his side a deserving 2-0 lead but the Cherries staged a late fightback as the Toffees had to leave the stadium with a solitary point only.

The 25 year old was treated on the pitch by the medical staffs and was admitted straight to the hospital. He was later released from the Poole Hospital and will continue his recuperation till he gets fully fit. An Everton statement read : “Michael Keane has sustained a small hairline fracture of the skull but suffered no other complications.”

Keane has assured he will be back as soon as possible. “I will be back with my team and back on the pitch as soon as I can.

“I’m OK but suffered a small hairline fracture of the skull, which will heal itself.”
