German giants reached an agreement to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi on loan
Batshuayi has been allowed to leave Chelsea on loan after a mixed spell at the club since his arrival from Marseille in July 2016.
BVB’s Sporting Director Michael Zorc has high hopes on the 24 year old striker : “Michy is a young, very interesting striker who boasts a good goalscoring record and has shown his quality at Chelsea and Marseille, in the Belgian league and also for the national team.”
Bathshuayi’s effectiveness and eye for the goal could help Dortmund replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been prolific for Dortmund in recent seasons.
Batshuayi’s departure clears the way for Chelsea to bring in Olivier Giroud from the Emirates.
Chelsea have been in the market for a striker.
Conte: “In this situation, the coach has to speak with the player that is involved in this type of situation. This Batshuayi situation is not simple,” Conte said.
“There is only one day – it is not the best situation for me, for the player but the transfer market in general is not simple. To find a solution for players to come in. The players know the situation very well.
“We must be ready to face every situation. It won’t be easy. For me this is not the best situation to face, but we have to face it.”
