FIFA has banned super agent Mino Raiola for three months from all football related activities.

Earlier Italian football federation (FIGC) barred Raiola from dealing players this summer transfer window and FIFA followed the suit. Football’s governing body have issued the ultimatum on Friday and it will cover most of the summer transfer window.

Raiola represents a number of heavyweight players with the likes of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Matthijs de Ligt. Alongside Raiola, his cousin and business partner Vincenzo Raiola has also been given a two months ban.

A number of high value transfers were supposed to take place in the summer but with Raiola’s ban uncertainty is looming over the horizon. Barcelona’s interest in De Ligt and Real Madrid’s interest in Pogba might not get fulfilled as their representative won’t be able to negotiate any deals on their behalf.

Raiola has issued a statement : “The ‘Italian Ban’ is not a surprise, unfortunately.

“My personal concern is that it has been a sentence dominated by political willing, without taking into the right consideration the reason of law.

“I guess that Italian Football Association has not forgiven me when I have diffused my critics for their role in the disastrous state of Italian football, as well as their role around the latest episode of the racism problem.”
