Egyptian midfielder set to complete £5.5million switch
FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny has completed his medical at Arsenal, according to reports, and is now on the brink of finalising his transfer to the Premier League club.
The Egyptian international will provide decent cover for Arsene Wenger‘s men, who have lost both Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin to long-term injuries, leaving them short of options in midfield.
The Gunners are left with Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Aaron Ramsey as central options, with Jack Wilshere still on the treatment table as well following another injury setback.
Medical Passed
The 23-year-old has now officially passed his medical, which took place in Paris earlier in the week, and will now look to finalise his transfer to the Premier League outfit.
Arsenal and Elneny will now need to sort out his work permit, which could cause problems for the English outfit.
