Mohamed Salah feels Liverpool can end their wait for silverware this season.

Salah singlehandedly led the Reds to the final of the Champions League final but an untimed injury to him saw Liverpool crumbled like a pack of cards as Real Madrid cruised to the Champions League title for a consecutive third time.

Salah broke all the records in his maiden campaign on English soil as he netted 44 goals last season and everyone would have expected a similar outcome this season. But the Egyptian has had a rather sluggish start to the current campaign leading to massive disappointment.

But the former AS Roma forward has brought back memories of the last season with some quickfire goals and it remains to be seen whether he can replicate his magic or not.

Salah said, “My target last season was not only to break the [goalscoring] record but also to win something with the club.

“We were very close in the Champions League final but this is football, we have to accept the result.

“This time also I can’t say my individual one but my target now is to win something for the club.

“This would be huge for us as a team and as players.

“It’s also a dream for the city and for the fans. I think this season we are going to do something.”
