Nacho Monreal has reportedly agreed a new deal with Arsenal.
The left-back has impressed this season, taking a first-team spot over Kieran Gibbs. It has led to interest from several Spanish teams, most namely Athletic Bilbao, with the club poised to make a move for him in January.
Three-year deal
However, it now appears that any hopes of a deal being done have been quashed, with reports claiming the 29-year old has agreed a new three-year deal with Arsenal and he looks set to be staying at the Emirates for the foreseeable future.
This season, Monreal has played eight times in the Premier League, claiming two assists. He has been arguably one of the Gunners best players so far and Arsene Wenger will be hoping he can keep up his impressive performances week after week.
