Arsenal are set to be deal with a transfer blow as it appears Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata has chose to join Italian side Juventus.
Boss Arsene Wenger has been a long-term admirer of the forward and was close to capturing the player on loan in January.
But now it is understood the Spaniard will opt to join Serie A champions Juventus and former Juve legend, Del Piero believes Morata can be star quality.
“Morata is a very strong, physical player,” Del Piero told Football Italia.
“If Carlo Ancelotti played him in the Champions League final it means the lad’s got great potential, even if this season’s been a bit up and down for him.”
