After signing Gabriel Paulesta and Krystian Bielik in this transfer window, Arsene Wenger is targetting more signings in the summer.
The Arsenal manager is looking to add more steel and Premier League experience in the defensive midfield roles.
Francis Coquelin looks as if he could play in that position during the long-term future of Arsenal. Bielik also looks to be one for the future at just 17 years of age.
However, Wenger wants to add a high-profile member to his squad, Morgan Schneiderlin and Cheick Tiote have emerged as front-runners.
They both would provide solid cover for the long-term injuries of Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby.
