Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has handed in a formal transfer request at the club, according to Sky Sports News.
The French international has been keen to leave St Marys after watching his team-mates leave for bigger clubs, and after being told he was going nowhere, he vented his frustration on social networking site, Twitter.
Schneiderlin tweeted: 6 years of an amazing journey #saintsfc DESTROYED in 1 hour !!!
It’s believed this tweet was aimed at the Southampton board who told him he was not for sale, and tried to prevent him moving to North London side Tottenham Hotspur.
Both Spurs and Arsenal are interested in the midfielder, but it’s believed he favours a move to White Hart Lane due to wanting regular game-time.
The 24-year-old has now told the club he wants to leave and is doing everything he can to push through a move.
