Courtois is in his third season with Atletico Madrid, but is due to return to Chelsea this summer.

However, with his contract at Stamford Bridge expiring in 2016, the Blues are keen to see the 21-year-old put pen-to-paper on fresh terms.

Courtois has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but insisted he is not considering quitting Chelsea.

However, the Belgian international is interested in another season on loan at Atletico, if Petr Cech continues as Jose Mourinho’s first-choice keeper.

Reports in Spain claim Mourinho will only allow such an agreement should Courtois extend his contract with the west London club.

Atletico owner Miguel Angel Gil Marin has flown to London several times to try and secure Courtois’ services, who has said he will make a decision at the end of the season.
