Manager reveals why he signed contract extension at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has revealed why he decided to pen a contract extension at Stamford Bridge, and he’s stated it’s because of a special feeling he has for the club.
The Blues manager is currently enjoying his second stint in charge of Chelsea, after leaving the club for Inter Milan earlier in his career.
However, after time in Spain with Real Madrid, Mourinho returned to West London two years ago and successfully guided them to the Premier League title last season.
Mourinho’s team are expected to retain the title, and he’s boosted the whole club by signing a new long-term deal on the eve of the new campaign.
Chelsea start their campaign today against Swansea City in the evening kick-off, and Mourinho has opened up about why he signed his deal the night before.
Mourinho Reveals Why
“I said when I returned here two years ago that I have a special feeling for this club and nothing changed. It is the club closest to my heart and I am very happy to know I will be staying here for a long time.”
