Could the Dortmund star become new boss’ next signing?
Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to offer Henrikh Mkhitaryan a huge salary to move to Manchester United this summer.
According to the Daily Mirror, Dortmund have rejected an opening £19m offer from Manchester United for the forward, who is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract.
Mkhitaryan has rejected a new four-year deal on offer at Dortmund and German paper Bild claim Mourinho is willing to double his pay to £7.9m per season.
Mkhitaryan is hot property after scoring 23 times and creating a further 32 goals last season and Squawka claim Arsenal have also submitted a bid.
However, Dortmund are planning to keep the attacking midfielder for the final year of his contract before allowing him to leave on a free transfer but a war of words has broken out between the club and his agent Mino Raiola.
