Jose Mourinho has stated that he has ‘no idea’ if striker Diego Costa will be fit for Chelsea’s opening game against Swansea on Saturday.
Costa’s injury severity is unknown after picking up an hamstring injury during pre-season, but Mourinho believes he has enough fire-power in Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy as they begin their title defence.
“I have no idea, but we have two other strikers, one to play and one to come off the bench,” he said.
Chelsea fans will hope that Costa can get back to full fitness in the near future after a successful first season at Stamford Bridge.
