Arsenal and Liverpool keen on goalkeeper

Jose Mourinho will do his best to block any move from Arsenal for Petr Cech, stating he would rather the player went abroad than join any of Chelsea’s rivals

Cech wants to leave

Cech wants to leave Chelsea, having lost his place to Thibaut Courtois, that appears to be fact. Courtois has settled quickly and has proven beyond any doubt that he is one of the very top keepers in the world. Cech would naturally feel he would struggle to regain his number one status at the club, and after ten years of service to the West Londoners, it appears he will be given his wish.

Jose would rather Cech stayed at the club

Mourinho said: ‘If it was my decision, the decision is Petr to stay. Even against his will? Yes.

‘The club is more important than the player and the club needs two very good goalkeepers. Without Petr this season I don’t think the club would be champions. So for me, decision No 1 is that Petr will stay.

‘After that, second point is for him to go, but not in England. The option I don’t want is for him to go to an English club.

‘But I am just the manager and he means so much for this club and what he did in this club I think he deserves everything. So if the club decision is different to mine I will accept it.’

Well, it does seem like that Petr Cech will be playing his football away from Stamford Bridge next season. But where? If Jose gets his way, and he usually does, it won’t be in the Premier League.
