Mourinho slates Hazard

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has blasted his winger, Eden Hazard, following a lacklustre performance in the Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid.

The Belgium international winger was critisized by his manager following the defeat, and Hazard started a war of words following comments about his style of play.

But Jose Mourinho aimed a sly dig at the youngster.

‘I listen to the interview, the words are completely different than some media was saying,’ said the Blues boss.

‘The context is completely transformed. There was nothing critical in what he [Hazard] said, they were the same words he had in relation to the Belgium side a couple of weeks ago. There is nothing there.

Mourinho continued.

‘Normally we have these comments from players like him, from players that can’t resolve a problem like we had in the first goal.

‘Eden is the kind of player that is not so mentally ready to protect his left-back and give his life to him.

‘If you look at the first goal against Atletico [on Wednesday] you can understand where the mistake was.

‘When the comments come from a player like Eden, it’s normal because he is not 100 per cent ready to sacrifice himself for the team and for his mates.

‘I’m not happy [about that], I’ve tried to improve him all season.’

Could this be the beginning of the end for Hazard at Chelsea? with PSG interested.
