No place for defender under new United boss
New Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly told defender Marcos Rojo to find a new club.
The Argentine found himself in and out of Louis van Gaal’s XI last season, but it’s now looking like he won’t be getting a chance to impress under Mourinho in the upcoming campaign.
According to respected journalist Duncan Castles, the club have already told Rojo that he should start looking for a new team.
The report claims clubs in Spain, Italy and China are all monitoring him and could look to offer him a way out of Old Trafford.
Rojo was one of Van Gaal’s main signings when he arrived on a £16million deal in August 2014.
But United are reportedly ready to take a financial loss on the 26-year-old and are looking for a fee of just €12m (£9.8m).
Mourinho is keen to strengthen his defence as he looks to build a team capable of challenging for the title.
The Portuguese boss has already snapped up Eric Bailly from Villarreal in a ÂŁ30m move.
