Midfielder had been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has revealed that he wants to stay at St James’ Park for next season and will snub Arsenal and Chelsea offers.

The France international has been heavily linked with a move away from Premier League strugglers Newcastle in this transfer window with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea while it was rumoured for a while that he would be returning home to Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain.

However, France manager Didier Deschamps words over how he is selecting his side for Euro 2016 has made the midfielder seriously think about his future and has decided to stay at the Magpies.

Sissoko Eyes First-Team Role

Sissoko made it clear that he doesn’t want a move to a Champions League club just yet, he said: “Didier Deschamps clearly told us that he will only be choosing players who are regularly playing [at their clubs].

“With one year to go until the Euros, you cannot change club and find yourself on the bench.” he added.

Midfielder Eyes Future Move

The 25-year-old has admitted that he wants to stay at Newcastle for this season, but admits that he still wants to play for a top-four club in the future, he said: “At the same time, I want to play for one of the biggest clubs and I would notably like to play in the Champions League, something I cannot do at Newcastle.

“One day or another, my hour will come. In any case, I see myself staying in England.” he added.
