A potential move to Chelsea or Arsenal for Mattia Destro is in the hands of their London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Roma have admitted they may lose the striker to the attraction of the Premier League, for a fee of around £20 million.
However, they are only prepared to sell the Italian international once they have secured his replacement.
The front runner to replace Destro is Tottenham’s Emmanuel Adebayor, who has fallen out of favour under Mauricio Pochettino. Another target highlighted by Roma is former Bayern Munich forward Mario Gomez.
Both Chelsea and the Gunners will be hoping Roma move swiftly for a replacement, so they can lodge bids for Destro.
The 23-year old has scored 23 goals in 52 Serie A games so far in his Roma career.
